For a friend of a friend, who is a friend to the world.

"You know you want to buy my coffee beans. Oh, yes, you do. (and hot chocolate)

I have a favor to ask you! Please buy coffee for some of your friends
and family for Christmas! The beans are purchased directly from the
growers and roasted right by my house. Stoney Creek Roasters and The
Icarus Collective (CU's Poetry Club) have teamed up to help provide
long-term medical care for some of the poor people of this Earth!

"Con los pobres de la tierra,/ quiero yo mi suerte echar" as Marti wrote
and Seeger sang, right? No. The clinic is not in Cuba ('cause they
have the best medical care on the planet).

It's in Kenya. Hooray for Kenya. [Insert much rejoicing. And a newt.]

Anyregardsalso, most of the coffee is only 10.00 a bag, and we receive
5.00 of it. The hot cocoa is also 10.00.

Sweet for us,
superfluicious for you,
and, "Wow. I'm not dead,"
for some happy Samburu.

[Insert Nellie's self-loathing over writing that last part.]

To buy some beans:

1. Go to www.scrfund.com .

2. Choose CEDARVILLE'S ICARUS COLLECTIVE from the drop-down menu.

3. Choose the type of coffee you want. (It will still come with our
special label, RIGHT HAND COFFEE)

4. If you live close-by me--or by Grand Rapids or Mt. Pleasant--choose
'pick up' because I'll be in Michigan on Wednesday or Thursday this
week, and I'll be more than happy to drop it off for you.

By the way, Taylor's coffee roasting skills: amazing. It rivals
Italy's great coffee, which is mio gusto preferito!

Also, in buying this coffee, you're supporting four different groups:
1. The growers of the developing world, who are paid a fair wage. 2.
The owners of the coffee shop, who are awesome. 3. Long-term medical
care in the developing world, which poets care about. 4. A portion
of all Stoney Creek Roasters profits support The Luke Commission--a
long-term medical team in Swaziland--who've so far treated over 10,000
patients.

May your holiday season be a time of peace.

Love,

Nellie"
